The orgainsation has set stringent targets for carbon reduction including signing up for 'Science Based Targets'.
We visited three sites, Hull, Heathrow and Basildon to carry out energy audits for the ESOS scheme. We seperated the energy usage recorded into two different scope emissions. Scope 1 is the direct energy usage from the companies facilities and transport. Scope 2 is emissions from the generation of purchased electricity that is consumed in its owned or controlled equipment or operations.
The audits allowed Geodis to develop a 2021 scope 1 & 2 emission baseline. The baseline was then reported against based on current energy consumption.
E-Factor Phase 1 & 2 contract carbon savings
Upon completion of the phase 1 & 2 contracts with E-Factor, we calculated the carbon savings we will have created if our energy conservation measures that we recommended are implemented.
