In order for the government to reach net zero by 2050, grants are being offered to SMEs due to them contributing to 30% of carbon emissions and making up 99% of businesses in the UK.
An obstacle to achieving net zero is lack of education. Usually, if an individual is not within an energy based profession, they would not be familiar with the technologies available to reduce carbon emissions whilst saving economically. This is why the workshops are important to fill the gap in knowledge and allow businesses to take action.
The early intervention creates competitiveness between businesses and creates a head start for action which can be gradually implemented. SMEs may also realise that their business qualifies for some legal compliance and we can help to assist with their journey to do so.
